Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the RepStreak iOS app ("RepStreak", "the app") handles information. RepStreak is published by Obitech ("we", "us").

1. Information we collect

We do not collect any personal data. RepStreak does not require an account, does not ask for your email address, and does not send your workout data to us or to any server we operate. We do not use our own analytics or tracking tools.

2. Data stored on your device

To work, the app saves the following information locally on your iPhone:

  • the push-up reps and sessions you log;
  • your daily goal, totals and streak history;
  • the first name or nickname you enter for the greeting, if any;
  • your app settings and preferences.

This data never leaves your device through RepStreak, and we cannot access it. If you back up your iPhone with iCloud or a computer, this data may be included in that backup, which is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.

You can delete all of this data at any time by deleting the app from your iPhone. Workouts already saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app (see section 3).

3. Apple Health

RepStreak can save the push-up workouts you log to the Health app on your iPhone (Apple Health). RepStreak only writes to Apple Health and never reads any of your health data. Saving only happens if you give permission when the app asks, and you can change or withdraw that permission at any time in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › RepStreak.

Workout data that RepStreak writes to Apple Health:

  • is never used for advertising, marketing or ad measurement;
  • is never sent to Google AdMob, RevenueCat or any other third party, and is never sold;
  • is not sent to us or to any server we operate.

Data in Apple Health is stored and protected by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. Deleting RepStreak does not remove workouts it has already saved there. You can view or delete them in the Health app under Sharing › Apps › RepStreak.

4. App Block and Screen Time

RepStreak's App Block feature uses Apple's Screen Time framework to limit the apps you choose. It only works if you give RepStreak Screen Time access when the app asks, and you can remove that access at any time in your iPhone's Settings.

Screen Time data stays on your iPhone. This includes the apps you choose to block, your block settings and any usage information Screen Time uses to apply them. RepStreak:

  • never sends Screen Time data to us or to any server we operate;
  • never shares it with Google AdMob, RevenueCat or any other third party;
  • never uses it for advertising or marketing.

Turning off App Block or deleting the app stops RepStreak from using Screen Time.

5. Advertising

The free version of RepStreak displays ads provided by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, this provider may collect information such as:

  • your device's advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking);
  • your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
  • device type, operating system version and language;
  • how you interact with the ads shown.

This information is collected directly by Google AdMob under its own privacy policy, not by us. We do not receive your personal data from the provider. You can read how it handles data here: Google AdMob privacy information.

Your choices. iOS asks for your permission before any app can track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", ads may still appear but will not be personalised using your advertising identifier. You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Where required by law, such as in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.

You can remove all ads with the Remove Ads in-app purchase. Once ads are removed, the advertising service is no longer used to display ads in the app.

6. In-app purchases

Purchases in RepStreak are paid through Apple and the App Store. We never see or store your payment details.

We use RevenueCat, a third-party service, to check that a purchase is valid so the app can unlock and restore it. To do this, RevenueCat receives the purchase information Apple provides, a random identifier created by the app, and basic technical data such as your device type and IP address. It does not receive your name, email address, payment details or any workout data. You can read how it handles data here: RevenueCat privacy policy.

7. Device permissions

If the app asks for a permission, such as sending you workout reminders by notification, saving workouts to Apple Health or blocking apps with Screen Time, that feature runs on your device only. You can change permissions at any time in your iPhone's Settings.

8. Children

RepStreak is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age required in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because the app does not collect personal data, no such data is held by us.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data. Because we do not collect or hold any personal data, there is no data we can provide, change or delete for you. Your data lives on your device, where you control it directly.

For data collected by our advertising provider, you can exercise your rights directly with Google AdMob using the link in section 5.

For purchase data handled by RevenueCat, you can exercise your rights directly with RevenueCat using the link in the In-app purchases section.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Security

Your data is protected by the security features of iOS, including your device passcode and encryption. Keep your iPhone secured with a passcode, Face ID or Touch ID.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on the App Store.
